[Eating did not help, in the end. The act of cooking was a temporary reprieve, made better thanks to Sypha's presence, but the word temporary is the key. Once everything was cleaned and put away, there was a hollow feeling of dread in the vampire, which as a new way for his stupid anxiety to express itself and an annoying one at that.
Alucard knows that everything depends on behaving right now, in making sure nothing counts as plotting. He's made his decisions about how to move forward for the month, but to voice them also probably is plotting, so he can't. It isn't as important as the other two right now. Their own states, because they have now gone up against his father three times (once at home, again as the fight against Carmilla raged, and now yesterday) and that is enough to leave anyone bereft of energy. Sypha's...he will curl around her before making dinner, holding her to him and pretending that the act will help in some way.
He has no idea about Trevor. This is the third time that the oldest family fear has been faced. He's survived, but that doesn't give anything away about his own mental state. For all Alucard knows, there could be anger directed at him. Rightfully so, and the word princeling hangs heavy in his mind as he heads towards the area that was his office and the adjacent workrooms. (He'll clear those out next month.)
There's a knock on the door when he finds the one Trevor is in.]
