The muscles of his neck pull his head back, leaving his throat open to Sypha, who has no self-imposed ban from it and also apparently no concerns about awkward questions he might need to answer about bruises there at the next knitting meeting. His breaths come short and shallow, making tiny noises each time they leave him. ]
