[ He's not yet grasped the basics of knitting normally. Knitting without letting the needles strike each other is a little much to ask of him. By the end of the show he's dropped as many stitches as he's made and the best possible option at this point may well be to unravel the whole thing and start again. He would sigh dramatically (or, more likely, swear), but he can't. So he settles for just scowling at the failed blanket as he continues throwing effort at it as if he can make it become a workable thing through sheer force of determination.
