Yet the room is — quiet, save for Trevor's huffed exertion and Alucard's choking and her own cries.
The necromancer isn't showing signs of pain.
But in realizing that, she's gotten too close; it's hard to gauge safe distances in a room this small and this chaotic, and she's drifted too near to his proximity in her attempts to get around him. He pivots, making Alucard's sword wrench and twist in his gut, and as he does his cane comes up and catches her in the head, following through with a blow that knocks her back and into the wall, near the frozen-over door now melting rapidly from the increased heat in the room.]
