In truth, the way events unfold is out of everyone's control. [Higher, more churchly powers prevailed and there were no fighting them. Alucard has read the accounts of a few years before the destruction of the home, how some of the other boyars of Wallachia were beginning to understand that the Belmonts and their eternal quest for night things and Dracula made them politically weak as a noble house of Wallachia. Bringing the church in, viewing it all as witchcraft, it was....expedient. And the Belmonts were only starting to fight back after years of not considering the matter to be a problem.

I don't believe that my father's death could happen if anything was prevented or changed, I'm afraid.
