[ He likes the floor. The floor is nice. But he stands and tries to figure out how best to actually join Alucard on the sofa. He tries lying next to him, first, which works well enough for Alucard and Sypha but less well for any combination involving Trevor. So he lifts Alucard onto his chest instead and that's terribly awkward - one leg on the sofa, one leg off, vampire above him, him trying to shuffle awkwardly into a comfortable position - but he's at least not going to fall off. ]
[ He does as he's instructed. This really would have been easier if he had just let Alucard move himself and hadn't felt the need to pick him up and carry him around. But shit, he's wanted to see if he could get away with that for a while. ]
Just- promise me you'll tell me. If you want me to leave.
[Unfortunately, Trevor's just set presedent. Because once the vampire's sorted out his own feelings, he's going to be doing that kind of shit constantly.
For now, Alucard settles in Trevor's lap, careful to try and actually determine what position is comfortable and not...not awkward. Because this is still new. Sypha's still new too, and he's certain both of them have figured out that this is that new.
So where it ends is one hand resting on Trevor's chest (which he does quite like), the other looped around the back of Trevor's neck. Knees tucked in and curled up, but his head isn't resting anywhere yet. He's not sure if this is comfortable in full.]

[ It's- well, it's uncomfortable only in how new this is, how not-quite-natural it is compared to the way things were with Sypha. Not physically uncomfortable (nothing ever really is, with Trevor). Just new and strange and without Sypha there to push things forward gradually, so he has to push them forward far too much and then immediately move back to right himself.
He can't be Sypha. Alucard can't be Sypha. Shit, they can barely even manage to be a half-decent Belmont and vampire most days, let alone anything else. So it's going to have to be a little uncomfortable, a little too quick and slow at the same time, not quite able to fit on a sofa. And that's- he can live with that, too. ]
I hate that even the knocking me over onto the ground is about the same.

So it'll be like this. They'll figure it out, or it'll be awkward and stilted and Sypha will come home, look at them both, shake her head and fix it immediately. Because she's Sypha, and she's better at all of this than they are.]

[ Okay so maybe this is taking it a big far even for him. But the silence can mean one of two things - that he's embarrassed or that he's genuinely upset. And since he promised that he'd speak up if it was the latter-

[It is far, but there's an easy way to fix that. Why it's taken Alucard this much bullying to figure it out is wrapped up in accepting that well, this is reality now. But he's at that point, and the hand that is closer to Trevor's hair tugs him down gently.

[ So this wasn't necessarily what he was aiming for, because when the fuck does he ever know what he is aiming for, but it still feels like a success. He returns the kiss, but only softly, carefully, trying to see what Alucard will do if not pushed and left to decide for himself. ]
[Everything's cautious and experimental. That much is clear because the hand in Trevor's hair is there only lightly. The other one that's all tied up in his shirt has just rested there since, enjoying the warmth from Trevor's chest and just the tactile nature of it.
And the kiss itself is chaste. And then, inch by inch, moving beyond that.]
[ Chaste is fine. Chaste is- probably better, really. Chaste would have been more sensible than pinning the vampire to the ground.
The fangs are more complicated now than when Alucard was stunned into just being kissed at. There's the constant awareness that if Alucard moves and he moves at the wrong time in the wrong way, they'll graze skin and- he'd rather not think about how either of them would feel about that right now. He doesn't think he'd care (it'll hardly be the worst thing to have happened to him as a result of a pair of fangs), but there's something dark in the pit of his stomach that churns angrily at the thought of it. He doesn't really want to know what Alucard would think of it, because any option is bad.
And so for the moment, until they manage to figure out how to move around each other there, his lips remain still for the most part and he allows Alucard to continue. With returning the kiss lost as a method of expressing approval, he instead tightens his hold on his hand instead and pushes down on his pack, keeping them pressed close together. ]
[He's figured out fangs with Sypha. All it really requires is paying just a little bit more attention to the direction of things, and some knowledge of the other's own instincts. (What it translates into is starting from square one with Trevor.) It's another reason he's going slowly, there's no reason to accidentally draw blood aside from stupid, over eagerness that would just spoil whatever the hell it is that's just happened.
The kisses deepen after a few more softer minutes of determining what feels right, what Alucard likes in all of this. (He's probably being selfish. At least, that's the thought that will happen later.) Lips parted slightly more. Hoping Trevor will allow things to go beyond.

[ It's easier for him to be amused than flattered, so that's what he settles on when Alucard moves his hand over his chest and then the kisses grow deeper. And there's- more to be amused by than he'd expected, because the way Alucard is going about this is so fucking scientific. Testing something out, considering it, watching him, coming to some kind of conclusion and then testing something only slightly different. The same kiss, but at the corner of the mouth this time. Then with lips a little further open. It's not just the actions that are careful and controlled, even as the kisses grow deeper, but the method behind them.
It is so very like him. And it's so very precious. And Trevor considers himself an Actual Saint for not breaking the kiss to call him out on it and laugh.
He does allow, trying to match Alucard as best he can, starting to return the kisses more deeply as he gets a feel for the patterns behind Alucard's movements and can do so safely. ]
[Leave it to Alucard to be doing all of this scientifically without even considering that it's science. This, to him, was just the obvious thing to do. It wasn't like he sat down with an entire experimental kissing plan. He had no time to do that, and Alucard's pretty sure that if you did that, you really needed to sit down and look at your life choices.
It's all to say that yeah, Trevor, good call on not saying anything. He'd just get huffy and stop. That'd just be sad.
The returned kisses make some kind of happy noise in the back of the vampire's throat. Muffled a bit, but he keeps to where they are for the time being. Letting Trevor kiss back, and then considering how damn enjoyable it is.]
[ He feels the noise just as much as he hears it, and that in itself is wonderful. 'Happy for once in his fucking life', it seems, been achieved. As far as he can tell by the fact that the kisses become no deeper, Alucard also seems to have the results of his testing. Lips slightly parted, kiss held for a few seconds but broken before any real desire for air arises, just long enough to appreciate the way Alucard's breath is so much cooler than his is.
(He can make fun of Alucard all he wants, but his own 'observe the vampire's actions in minute detail' habit is just as consuming as Alucard's need to go about all of this scientifically)
Alucard's cheeks are still flushed (no doubt Trevor is the ruddier of the two of them, but he can't see his own face) and his lips are parted a little and just slightly swollen and by now his hair has fallen around Trevor's head, blocking out everything but the two of them and- ]
[This is enough for now. Nothing rushed ahead for any number of reasons, but ultimately because this place feels good. Right. New and exciting but also so very comfortable. Trevor's probably noticed the very thin smile on Alucard's face at every broken embrace. There just long enough to disappear into kisses yet again.
(Alucard would argue that the observe the vampire part is actually the bigger problem, but that's because he's still not thinking science. It's an argument they should totally have for no reason at all one day.)
Alucard doesn't laugh at Trevor's words. Just stays where he is, and there's just a soft and utterly warm response.]
