[ The breath that leaves him is long and slow rather than the quick, shallow ones that preceded it. He leans into the touch, the way it lulls him into a state of relaxed contentment despite everything else. ]

[There. That's the state Alucard wants his stupid, ridiculous needs a crisis to function husband to always be in. If not safe, he's at least relaxed, and that counts for so very, very much.]
We'll make little things into the right kind of thing you need to make it through the day. I could start with a wife who's not kissed enough....

[Settle for an idiot who's trying not to blush at a hand being placed on his cheek. When Alucard exhales, he might as well be swooning from the simplicity of the gesture.]
