Good medical practice. My mother would yell at me otherwise.
[They're at the mirror now. Sypha has it looking outside at the castle, the castle that's hidden as just a group of trees right now. Alucard needs both hands to undo everything, and so that means for the time being, Trevor must be on the ground.
As he's lowered, Alucard presses an all too tender kiss to Trevor's forehead.]
[Alucard begins to dismiss everything that has cloaked the castle and kept it safe. It knows him even from this terrible distance. It warms to all those commands, because them being given is a sign of homecoming. Life again.
As Alucard does so, something strikes him. And there's a terrible laugh for it.]
[ Sypha bends to support him - and shit, that's a sign that he's lost a lot of weight, that she can manage to do that unaided. ]
I'd say I'll be there to welcome you when you're back, but I don't love you that much. I'll be sleeping. I'll see you sometime tomorrow afternoon at best.
[That's a command. And a request. And it's all followed up with a very soft kiss to Trevor's lips before the last bit of the castle's protections are undone. The door even opens for the two, and it is waiting. Anticipating. It wants them home as badly as all three of them want to be there.
So they go first. Alucard is, as always it seems, left behind to clean up the old place. The directive is not as dire as before, the estate resets itself after all, but he still has to gather up their things. He goes back to fetch the sapphire stone first, and he wraps it up carefully in all the bandages and soft cloths that never got used in aid of Trevor. The medical kit comes with him too, and it's deposited in front of the mirror.
Everything that's in the lab comes next. His father's notes. All of the equipment brought from home and used in aid of Trevor's healing. Back into their boxes. Back next to the mirror again.
Their clothes, their weapons, and Alucard hisses as he has to touch both Vampire Killer and the Morning Star in order to pack them away in a clothes trunk. Hurts, hurts a lot, but the Morning Star is not as bad as he imagined. (Mathias's blood, he thinks idly. Enid would have a theory.)
Everthing goes through the mirror. He leaves it on the doorstep, and he waits until Sypha sticks her head out and sees everything there that he dismisses the mirror in full. The only thing he has not sent through the mirror beside himself is the Crimson Stone, the horse, and the dog. (He is unsure if the dog can leave the premises. If he cannot, then Alucard shall come back every so often.)
He packs the mirror last of all, and then goes for the poor horse they took in ages ago. He's grown not quite fat, but he looks better than he did. He doesn't spook when Alucard approaches, and they leave the estate quietly. It is midday when they do, and there is...well. Alucard's feelings shall settle soon.
He walks the horse to the nearest farm. There's another horse in the field, grazing, so that's where this noble thing shall go too. And then, the Crimson Stone tucked in Alucard's pocket, the mirror on his back, all other things now departed, Alucard too returns home, riding an arc of light and energy that he does not feel, but knows is a proper herald for the days of summer that lie ahead.]

[ That's the closest he's going to get in a long time to admitting that the dregs of the fear are still very much there. ]

[He isn't.]

[ It's fond, and he's not smiling, but there's a normalcy to that insult that they've not had for a little while. ]
Humor me. Would it wake you?

It would. In an instant.

Because I'm that fucking tired. I think I could.
[ And with that, he just watches as Alucard dispels all of the many, many magics that protect the castle. Home. They'll all be home so soon. ]

Nine days. Third multiple of three.
[It's fucking ridiculous.]

[ Bible Facts with Trevor Belmont. ]
Which sounds poetic as fuck, except it doesn't fit at all.

[Okay this sounds stupid, and that means everything needs to come to a TOTAL PAUSE.]

[ Wow rude Alucard you were the one who made this into weird superstitious magic bullshit. ]
Only fucking thing I know about things that take nine days.

[He just sighs. And Sypha laughs because if there is any greater sign of things being normal again, then here they are.]
We'll have this discussion later.
