Current Carmilla plot outline
--Post-fire, Carmilla and Mr. Peanut team up mostly to use each other. Carmilla's spent the past several months (since November, it is now February 1925) networking, and it's clear to her that Alucard's not suited for the position and that the other two are the obvious weakness. Mr Peanut needs something back, so this is perfect on her end. Mr Peanut can only imagine the joys of vampire blood in his work, and he'd like an army of vampires for his own ends.
--Shit stirring from Mr Peanut (all of March?)
--Mr Peanut also begins to sell mis Miracle Serum, which has vampire blood in it.
--Gang is very much trying to murder Mr Peanut during this.
--Start of April, vampire gets a call from one of the blood bank contacts that 3 patients have come in and are displaying some bizarre signs. Investigation yields the fact that they're in process of turning, and they've all taken the same serum.
--Additional investigation reveals O FUCK IT MR PEANUT
--Meanwhile Carmilla's been made aware of a familiar she didn't sire, so she knows something's up. Big fight with Mr. Peanut and thus Mr. Peanut is left depowered
--Gang commits a murder
--Carmilla's well sured up on her contacts now, and it's time for open rebellion (mid-April)
--In a more subtle attempt to let Alucard just step aside, she cuts the breaks on demon car and shows up to gloat/suggest he not pull a dad and go to deal with his grief quietly while she runs the city. The how he wants to do it is up to him (black widow joke goes here.) Treffy and Sypha walk in.
--1 week of straight up rebellion; feedings, no help from allies, need to do damage control instead of fight carmilla, every dracula rule is
--MEANWHILE IN GRAVITY FALLS, triangle shows Vlad what's up to try and psyche him out, somehow this finalyl snaps Vlad out of his depression and he heads home
--Just in time for Alucard and Carmilla to be tearing each other to bits in one of the bayous, it's not going well
--Vlad coming in means the king of vampires is accosted by a belmont with a pair of blessed knitting needles and a speaker with a fucking gun and he's just like what the shit happened to the world while i was gone
--Wards around the fight means that only demon car can break the wards, everyone has to pile in.
--Carmilla gets her ass kicked AND SENT TO THE JUSTICE DIMENSION
THEN THERE WERE FAERIES.
--Prior to all of this the vampire and Sypha have done a shit ton of research on how to get their Belmont back
--Sypha has also been practicing debating with dad, which leaves everyone Very Tired.
--When Trevor is actually snatched up (1 year after marriage, it takes fae effort. Taking Arn's shape fails, so it's a lot more kidnapping by force), Sypha and Alucard go into Faerie
--But they're playing this as politics, not as heroes rescuing their damsel, so that means the faeries are just "wait what now excuse u?"
--There are 3 gates and 3 trials (the particulars we're still bullshitting.) Each is asked to sacrifice 3 things. (Alucard: voice, his titles as bestowed upon by his father and his people, i forget the third; Sypha: her human form (she's a birb), fuck what were the other two)
--They enter the court at the end of the third trial. After LITERALLY ALL THE TITLES Sypha declares she Speaks for Trevor Belmont
--Claim debate over Trevor, turns out that the rules are in Sypha's favor.
--But that means debating to leave Fae without giving up what they've chosen.
--Sypha lawyers it all out, Alucard is a safety deposit and hangs out with Fae!Trevor
--In the end, safe passage out of Faerie consists of Sypha giving up her memory of the necromancer (billed as a great mage she studied under), the vampire gives up his immortality, and Trevor is replaced with Carmilla (dad was aware of this option and OK with it), but Trevor has his ability to swear taken. He now soundslike a rubber ducky when he tries
--Everyone gets home okay, except for the AU of this AU where the gang fails, but Trevor's on their doorstep like a bat out of Hell because time doesn't work right and he's been in Hell for a WHILE.

Which is all to say that there's a pillow fort around the not-currently-a-vampire, someone's draped a blanket over the wolf too, and there is an immediate confused and very loud whine from the direction of said wolf.
Who is obscured from view by the pillow fort.
And it definitely smells like Trevor at the moment, so he at least knows who the guilty party is.]

So Sypha, the little furnace that could, has been indulgent with both the boys when it comes to the cold, but with Alucard especially, for how little he's used to the chill and the damp. In this case, she's been indulgent in two ways: with Trevor in letting him erect his pillow fort around the wolf in their midst without tattling, and now with Alucard by sitting nearby to wait for him to wake up.]
no subject
What has been built around me?
[Not about to sit up, as Alucard is aware that even the peaked point of the fort above his head is easily moved, he remains sprawled on the floor. Belly pressed down on it, his head now poking out of the fort entirely.
He turns his head, and there's one of them. Alucard shakes his head, hair a right mess from sleeping so curled up.]
And how much did you help?
no subject
[Is she disappointed? Not to see Adrian, certainly, but maybe a little bit that she is being deprived of the chance to snuggle with a big fuzzywuzz.]
It's a fort. Made out of cushions and pillows, and a blanket. It's very important, for warmth purposes, or something like that.
no subject
[Alucard pauses, catching the look on Sypha's face. There's a scoff, then a very resigned:]
Did you want me to remain in that form?
no subject
[The cuddles themselves, however, are apparently non-negotiable.]
no subject
It's harder to kiss you if I have four paws.
no subject
[She scoots over, putting herself just close enough that she's technically within what one might call arm's reach.]
It seems to me that's something you would use your snout for, not your paws.
no subject
[He sees that scoot, along with the distance that feels so very, very deliberate. So what else is a vampire to do but reach out to Speaker that's decided he's hers and drag said Speaker into his arms with a little too much enthusiasm.]
I couldn't do that, for example.
no subject
[She yelps a little as he grabs her, though it's not as though she wasn't on some level gunning for precisely that when she'd let herself get within range, so it's less actually startled and more just playful. Doubly so is the way she squirms once he's got her caught, pleased and content but still wanting to make him work just a little bit for his prize.]
And you think you can hold on to me now, even so?
no subject
[His grips around her tightens, and it comes with a warm, rich laugh.]
I think I can manage.
no subject
[But when she's caught, she's caught, and so it's only a little bit more squirming that follows before she eventually relaxes comfortably into his arms.]
Mmmm. This is nice.
no subject
[As fun as the squirming is, it's bound to lead to other avenues. With a comfy Sypha, all Alucard is willing to do is scoot them both just a little bit more, so that his back can brace against the sofa that supports the rest of the fort.
It's cozy, this. A roof (mostly of blankets) overhead and the flickering firelight pouring in. Sypha's natural warmth and both of Alucard's arms around her waist, hanging there tightly.]
I think I understand the appeal.
no subject
[She settles against him easily, drowsy-content herself just from the quiet, pleasant atmosphere and the warmth of the fire nearby, and for a little while she lets them simply enjoy each other's company in relative silence, letting her thoughts drift here and there with aimless abandon.
It's a little while before she decides to speak again, and when she does it's rambling and not at all deliberate, a little loosening of the filter between her mouth and her mind as they relax together.]
You know.
[Another pause, pleasantly drowsy this time.]
You bit Trevor, that once.
no subject
His arms remain low around her waist, eyes half closed for the warmth and comfort of the moment. It's nice like this. It's been nice like this since the moment they got to the cabin. There's still a week and a half here, here before Christmas season begins at the church and Trevor is needed.
He doesn't move when Sypha speaks, but the content expression on Alucard's face lessens.]
Once. Because I was about to starve and mauling him for blood two days later would have been a terrible thing to have happen after all your work.
no subject
[She tips her head, nuzzling against him in a pacifying, settling sort of way.]
Shhh. I just want to talk. Like this, when things are quiet, and everything is safe. We can just talk, can't we?
no subject
[He's already fussy. But that gentle nuzzle does wonders to quell that fussing, at least for a few moments. Alucard sighs, and presses an apologetic kiss to the top of Sypha's head.]
Apologies. It was a kneejerk reaction.
no subject
[She closes her eyes, leaning more heavily against him.]
I want to tease you about it. But I won't, because I don't want you to think that I am not serious about something you are serious about. But I would like to tease you, because perhaps it does not have to be so serious. What do you think?
no subject
[He's quiet as he makes the request, but the point of it is clear: he wants to make sure his objections are understood first. Only then can anything be rearranged. Made slightly less serious.]
no subject
[She pauses, then tips her head all the way back to look at him, which is patently cute but also probably leaves her looking directly up his nose.]
Am I close?
no subject
The part about my father is less pertinent than you'd think, for once. [More like the only time.] But not romanticizing what I need to stay alive, and ensuring that none of it becomes predatory to the both of you is all it truly boils down to. Neither of you are dinner, except if we're making innuendos and are about to move to bed.
[Or the sofa. Or wherever.]
no subject
[She nuzzles against him again, soft kisses near his jawline.]
Would you feel the same way, if we were talking about chocolate?
no subject
An inanimate object that doesn't need blood to live?
no subject
[She clarifies sweetly, in-between her little kisses.]
Would you object to chocolate. I am not making an equivalence, just wondering if I can perhaps get what I want in a different fashion than the objectionable one.
no subject
[There's a lower rumble in that noise than usual. One of Alucard's arms moves downward without his say so, hand coming to rest atop one of Sypha's thighs.]
That sounds promising. No microwave at the moment to make melting easier, but we can always use a double boiler...
