Current Carmilla plot outline
--Post-fire, Carmilla and Mr. Peanut team up mostly to use each other. Carmilla's spent the past several months (since November, it is now February 1925) networking, and it's clear to her that Alucard's not suited for the position and that the other two are the obvious weakness. Mr Peanut needs something back, so this is perfect on her end. Mr Peanut can only imagine the joys of vampire blood in his work, and he'd like an army of vampires for his own ends.
--Shit stirring from Mr Peanut (all of March?)
--Mr Peanut also begins to sell mis Miracle Serum, which has vampire blood in it.
--Gang is very much trying to murder Mr Peanut during this.
--Start of April, vampire gets a call from one of the blood bank contacts that 3 patients have come in and are displaying some bizarre signs. Investigation yields the fact that they're in process of turning, and they've all taken the same serum.
--Additional investigation reveals O FUCK IT MR PEANUT
--Meanwhile Carmilla's been made aware of a familiar she didn't sire, so she knows something's up. Big fight with Mr. Peanut and thus Mr. Peanut is left depowered
--Gang commits a murder
--Carmilla's well sured up on her contacts now, and it's time for open rebellion (mid-April)
--In a more subtle attempt to let Alucard just step aside, she cuts the breaks on demon car and shows up to gloat/suggest he not pull a dad and go to deal with his grief quietly while she runs the city. The how he wants to do it is up to him (black widow joke goes here.) Treffy and Sypha walk in.
--1 week of straight up rebellion; feedings, no help from allies, need to do damage control instead of fight carmilla, every dracula rule is
--MEANWHILE IN GRAVITY FALLS, triangle shows Vlad what's up to try and psyche him out, somehow this finalyl snaps Vlad out of his depression and he heads home
--Just in time for Alucard and Carmilla to be tearing each other to bits in one of the bayous, it's not going well
--Vlad coming in means the king of vampires is accosted by a belmont with a pair of blessed knitting needles and a speaker with a fucking gun and he's just like what the shit happened to the world while i was gone
--Wards around the fight means that only demon car can break the wards, everyone has to pile in.
--Carmilla gets her ass kicked AND SENT TO THE JUSTICE DIMENSION
THEN THERE WERE FAERIES.
--Prior to all of this the vampire and Sypha have done a shit ton of research on how to get their Belmont back
--Sypha has also been practicing debating with dad, which leaves everyone Very Tired.
--When Trevor is actually snatched up (1 year after marriage, it takes fae effort. Taking Arn's shape fails, so it's a lot more kidnapping by force), Sypha and Alucard go into Faerie
--But they're playing this as politics, not as heroes rescuing their damsel, so that means the faeries are just "wait what now excuse u?"
--There are 3 gates and 3 trials (the particulars we're still bullshitting.) Each is asked to sacrifice 3 things. (Alucard: voice, his titles as bestowed upon by his father and his people, i forget the third; Sypha: her human form (she's a birb), fuck what were the other two)
--They enter the court at the end of the third trial. After LITERALLY ALL THE TITLES Sypha declares she Speaks for Trevor Belmont
--Claim debate over Trevor, turns out that the rules are in Sypha's favor.
--But that means debating to leave Fae without giving up what they've chosen.
--Sypha lawyers it all out, Alucard is a safety deposit and hangs out with Fae!Trevor
--In the end, safe passage out of Faerie consists of Sypha giving up her memory of the necromancer (billed as a great mage she studied under), the vampire gives up his immortality, and Trevor is replaced with Carmilla (dad was aware of this option and OK with it), but Trevor has his ability to swear taken. He now soundslike a rubber ducky when he tries
--Everyone gets home okay, except for the AU of this AU where the gang fails, but Trevor's on their doorstep like a bat out of Hell because time doesn't work right and he's been in Hell for a WHILE.

[Trevor is actually trusted at driving, unlike a fire and speed demon that's shoving him towards their boyfriend. Alucard lets himself be helped out of the car, and he sidesteps so Sypha can get out as well.]
Bed. [He wants to laugh at the other comment, but it comes out more like a grimaced noise.] Mm. Probably should have stayed later, shouldn't I?
no subject
[ He pulls Alucard into his arms, lifting him while Sypha fusses over him. ]
To bed, then, Dusk-And-Dawn, Beloved of Misplaced Speakers and Belmonts.
no subject
[It's a nice lie, pretending there's a future for the three of them. One where marriage is possible, owing to too many complex maters that Alucard doesn't want to think about naming.
Trevor's arms are warm. Big. Safe. A harbor to dock in just for now, because tomorrow requires more work. They should go inside. Move beyond the damned garage. The vampire tries to move in that direction, but that just means pressing closer into Trevor.]
no subject
[ Pressing in closer is just fine. Just fine. He carries Alucard into the house, not speaking until they're past the office. When they are, he leans to kiss his forehead. ]
You going to be this shape tonight? Or dog-shaped?
no subject
[It sounds like some kind of an attempt at a joke. Something something speakers and their words. The joke doesn't form. Alucard just closes his eyes and lets himself be carried about, the sense of exhaustion starting to mix with a darker feeling of being at the point of useless that he can't even walk.
Trevor's question is met with a very soft reply.]
I think I'd get stuck if I tried to shift.
no subject
[ No, that wasn't him messing up at saying inconvenient. Sypha pulls the thick cover that they've been using to protect the bed from dog hair away and Trevor sets Alucard down. Sypha sets about the work of undoing his tie while he deals with his own clothes. ]
I don't think we were planning on letting you get anything done tomorrow, so it doesn't matter that much if you're stuck or not.
no subject
What plan?
[Is he alarmed? Slightly.]
no subject
[ It's a bad sign and a good sign. The good sign is that this is an indication that Sypha's presence allows him to think more clearly. The bad sign is that this is- about how out of hand things have become. He's having to plan for efficiency rather than maximum distraction from emotions. And efficiency means recuperation. It means healing. ]
Neither of us have been able to read your fucking handwriting in two days.
[ It means that they gain more time than they lose from a day of rest from not having to have Alucard dictate all of his notes to them because apparently doctor handwriting is genetic but only when one is sleepy. ]
no subject
I can't even find the words to respond to that.
[He can manage a tired noise that might be a laugh otherwise. Sypha's hands are freed, and the tie is gone moments later.]
Sorry.
no subject
It’s her idea, I’m just the one scrambling to justify it. Just- give yourself a few hours, at least. See if it helps.
[ And he sighs, lifting Alucard’s hand to kiss the inside of his wrist. ]
I meant every word. You know that, yes?
no subject
(Did he even go into that party armed? Alucard genuinely can't recall.)]
I suspect objections would be overruled anyway.
[A statement met with a very prompt mmhmmm from Sypha as the last button on Alucard's vest is undone and now it's just his dress shirt that's a problem. It's strange not doing anything, watching the world shift and move around him instead. Alucard's not sure how he feels about it, but with Trevor's kiss, that he knows where he stands.]
You wouldn't have said it if you didn't. I know. I've known for a long time now.
no subject
[ He didn't go the the party armed. It made a stronger statement, that way. Said that he didn't need to. Sypha's making quicker work of Alucard's suit than Trevor is of his own - this is the second time he's worn it, and the first time was just to check the fit. He doesn't know how to get himself out of anything fancier than his church clothes in a timely manner.
He smiles down at Alucard, and in the same tone he's used for every other title- ]
Ours.
no subject
Alucard manages to move his free arm, and it rests on top of Sypha's hand. The other is still close to Trevor's mouth.
Ours but for how munch longer until this thing claims one or all of them? Alucard can only just slump, trying to find a way where he's resting against the two of them.]
Don't let me sleep for too long then.
[He is going to take the biggest depression nap when this is over.]
no subject
[ Which is probably less not too long than he meant, since he leaves for church in maybe four hours. And- maybe he shouldn’t go this week. Alucard looks like shit, and the grandmothers would understand his absence under the circumstances, and there’s no way that Theodora won’t have told Florence about the night’s events immediately and-
He kisses Alucard’s wrist once more before withdrawing to continue changing. He’s never bothered to rebutton the pajama shirt in the last few weeks, and so it’s easy enough for him to put it on once the vest and shirt are gone. It isn’t too long before both he and Sypha, who’s withdrawn to attend to her own nightdress, are about ready to sleep. ]
Shift over. [ Get in the middle, vampire. ]
no subject
It's a good call, in the end, if he's in the middle. The shirt would make everything too hot.
Upon deeper reflection, the vampire might well register that right now, it feels nice, having someone else tell him what to do and where to move. For now, he just does as he's asked, rolling over himself once or twice until he's settled in the middle properly.]
no subject
Safe here. All of us.
[ Sypha buries her face in his hair the same way she's done with the wolf's fur for the last few nights, and Trevor kisses his forehead. ]
Rest.
no subject
Safe for a night, maybe. It has to be just for a night. The next night will be spent awake for far too long, managing whatever horrible fallout has decided to follow in the wake of this evening.
But rest he can do. His eyes flutter closed at that kiss, and to the surprise of absolutely no one at all, the vampire falls asleep only five minutes later, arms trying to find a way to cling to both Belmont and Speaker and failing hilariously at it.
Rest means that the vampire does not stir until 1 in the afternoon. He's not sure what's wrapped around him, be it Trevor or Sypha or just a load of blankets meant to mimic their weight. All he knows is that he doesn't want to open his eyes yet. Or speak beyond the mmmmph and groan that escape him upon waking.]
no subject
So while the blankets coiled around Alucard are just blankets, the weight next to him is a human. He had been meaning to continue reading Alucard's notes but it ended up being a little more overlap between work and home than he's able to manage. So those have been left on a chair and instead there's the soft clicking of the knitting needles.
Another Carmillatato. He gets the feeling they'll need it before long.
When Alucard makes noise, he sets the knitting down and strokes a hand over his hair (not through it, it's very braided right now. Sypha's been busy). ]
Welcome back to us, truest beloved of the sun.
no subject
[Not now with bullshit titles. There's a deep and low grumble as Alucard lifts his head up. It's been mushed into Trevor's side/hip, and when he looks up it's clear that he could benefit from a few more days of sleeping like this. The bags under his eyes make him look like a raccoon.
Alucard doesn't even try to sit up. He just shifts so that he has an arm slung all around Trevor's waist.]
Time?
no subject
[ He smiles apologetically, putting the knitting aside properly so that he doesn't accidentally drop any stitches and settling against Alucard. ]
Tried to wake you before church, but you weren't having any of it. I'd have had to risk waking Sypha up.
[ He Does Not Risk waking Sypha up before he goes to church. Not after parties. ]
no subject
Alucard shifts his head so that he can at least look up at Trevor. It's a different angle than how he usually sees the Belmont, but he likes it. He never gets to look up, see the angle of his chin and how stubble grows out.]
You made the right choice.
[He wants to stay here. Just like this.]
What are you knitting?
no subject
Thought that you might need one, once this is all over. [ He says as he puts it down. Once this is all over. Once this is done, and you're still here to ruin my fucking knitting. ]
no subject
Good thought.
[The vampire is still too dazed with sleep to register any protest against the thought of once this is all over and what it really means. All he knows is that there is a Belmont next to him, and that for now, he's safe.]
You owe me a ring.
no subject
I'll figure something out.
[ He puts the knitting back down, settling back in the bed so he can hold Alucard close. ]
It- didn't have to mean that. If you'd rather it not. I know that this isn't the time.
no subject
Alucard shifts in bed, rolling onto his stomach so that he can properly drape himself across the Belmont. It means one arm across Trevor's chest entirely, the other wrapping underneath Trevor's back to hang on. His head moves so it's juuust on Trevor's chest, chin resting there so he can keep looking up.]
Why would I ever rather not?
[He's got enough of himself to crave affection, timing be damned.]
