[That's only a little bit of a joke. There will be days ahead where they actually do need to take care of that, he's sure.

He said cheating without using the word cheating! That's just something to be proud o-- hey!

Alucard huffs a little at the proding.]

Well, I apologize, and I won't do it again.

[oratoris]

Of course you won't, because I would be far more specific in the future.

[Including an if you cheat, you automatically lose clause... Sypha may have had a fair amount of time to stew over her 'loss' the last few days. But, she is more than happy to just have playful banter and jests in the future, like they always have.]

... I suppose at least Trevor was super clean.

[Kissing the top of her head may be overkill. Who cares? Alucard does it anyway, stupidly warm and relieved.]

Well, after being more than a little filthy.

[Does she enjoy the attention? Of course she does. Alucard has always been more reserved than Trevor, although he has certainly opened up since she had first met him, in many ways.]

He may not take one for some time now though, you realize.

We might have to entrap him by pretending to make out in a bath tub.

[So, the reverse of what he and Trevor just did.

Alucard's arms keep Sypha close and snug, because he's learned and accepted that whenever the two are around, he needs to take advantage of that fact. It's made him more outwardly affectionate with them both, but perhaps Sypha's a little more spoilt for it. Mostly because she doesn't protest as much.]

Only pretending?

[A teasing tone back to her voice as she waggles her eyebrows. Yet the pout is real that she turns on him.]

Where is the fun in that?

Sypha, we are predictable creatures. If we actually made out, we would continue making out and fail to bathe the Belmont.

[oratoris]

I can be good at multi-tasking...

[Maybe... But if they were making out, Trevor would come in, and he would get wet. So... Mission accomplished?]

[cryptsleeper]

You can, but unfortunately, I am not and thus the problem in this particular plan.

[He's taking one for the team here. Alucard's pretty sure that the both of them would be too distracted and then fail in the mission objective, but hey. After this disaster bet? Sypha's more than earned it.]

[oratoris]

[She snorts softly, as she knows that that would likely not be the case... But acknowledges that he is attempting to make up for his cheating. One hand does slip around his waist, resting more fully against his side.]

Ah, but there are certain things that you are very good at when it comes to multi-tasking.

Oh, I know. And I could list them off happily if we did not have to actually plan against Trevor.

[Ah. There they are. Alucard has no doubt now that he has been fully forgiven, and that comes with a very, very happy sigh pressed into the top of Sypha's head.]

I promise not to do any of this again.

[oratoris]

Cheat? Yes, good. I will light your ass on fire if you do.

[As she has to drive that home at least once more...]

[It's only funny until it isn't.]

Ice would be more damaging anyway.

[A nice toasty fire... Who can complain about that.

But she snuggles in to his side.]

I can do that though. For you, anyway.

[Someone with strong opinions about burnt human flesh.]

Ah, the truest expression of love.

[Alucard doesn't quite laugh, but it's said warmly and with a certain depth that most certainly carries the same meaning. There's a nuzzle against the top of Sypha's head, and Alucard squeezes just a little more.]

We could plot against Trevor in the mean time.

You are bad...

[Which isn't a new from her mind you.]

That isn't a no.

[He just squeezes Sypha a little bit more.]

Or I suppose I could just let it all go, come inside, and just eat my soup.

[oratoris]

[No, no it wasn't a no... But she is still debating. Not setting him on fire, of course, but in this case, it had been Alucard who had been the instigator. So to speak.]

Your soup is likely already long gone.

Mmm, if it hasn't been devoured by a performing bear named Trevor.

[Trevor's really not a bear. Alucard's considered him more of a feral cat. But he's got the scruffy charm of a bear some days, and he knows Sypha enjoys teasing the Belmont too much along those lines.]

All the more reason to plot.

[oratoris]

[It's not her fault that Trevor bears (get it) many of the same traits as the hibernating mammal. Far too many, really, although some of them Sypha does enjoy, like his snuggliness. She can get over his smell for that.]

All the more reason for you to... I might be persuaded to help.

[cryptsleeper]

Oh, you have to be persuaded do you?

[Alucard pulls back just a little, mostly so he can make eye contact with Sypha.]

How ever shall my tongue match the words and cleverness of Speakers?

[oratoris]

[She looks at him, before giving a waggle of her eyebrows.]

Well, it would go a long way...

[But she gives a laugh, as she knows well enough that he can be silver tongued as well. Sypha is blunt and to the point, but Alucard can be very smooth.]

I do so enjoy keeping you on your toes.

[cryptsleeper]

Generally I've found you enjoy keeping me on my back.

[He sees your waggled eyebrows missy and he's waggling them right back!]

But perhaps now is best for other things.

[oratoris]

[See that? There might be the faintest hint of a blush on her cheeks as she gives a flick of her fingers to his side.]

And you don't complain that.

[Just the opposite. But the smile lingers, earlier sour mood gone as she enjoys the banter between them.]

I do not. If nothing else, I relish it.

[He just likes being bossed around by speakers, what can he say?

There's no reaction to the finger in his side besides a soft huff.]

We could go steal all Trevor's shirts so he has to join us in being shirtless.
