[It's easy to insist on that. Alucard, even if he's exhausted and in pain, can see that he is floating away. Bloodloss, clearly. He's missed the intimacy of it. It'll be screamingly clear in hindsight.]
[ It's a little like being drunk, like a softer, warmer sort of drunk that makes other people's lives better instead of worse. And god, god, he should hate this after everything but he doesn't. He knows he's safe, safe to let his head be screwed up in a way that makes it a nice place to be, and that makes all the difference. ]
The- medicine. Right. Shit. The medicine.
[ But Alucard said 'please', and that returns him to himself abruptly. Reminds him that he can't let himself be fucked up right now, that it's not fair to Alucard. Even if none of this ever happens again, he has all the time in the world after this to try to find ways of getting back into that softer, warmer state. Right now, Alucard needs them both and he needs them aware and present. He pulls away, not even giving a last quick kiss before he does. ]
I'll- soon. Have it soon.
[ Please, castle, cooperate enough to let him get the medicine. ]
[The castle does, indeed, cooperate. The door out of the bedroom leads to one of the medical supply closests. It's all labeled, careful and neat and perfect. There's not only more of the morphine, but a small little box labeled bite kit that once opened, seems perfectly suited to treating any and all vampire related bites.
Alucard is curled up around himself when Trevor returns. He's making no noise, but the tenseness of his body suggests that he's trying to keep something inside. Sypha's arms are still around Alucard's waist, and that seems to be the anchor point for the vampire.
His eyes are clamped shut, and upon approach, he's a little sweaty.]
[ The dizziness has hit, by now, and if it wasn't for the clear labelling finding the painkiller would have been a whole process. As it is, it's just making his way back that's a little difficult.
(He's in pain. Shit, he's in pain, and all Trevor's been thinking about is how nice it feels to be kind of drunk.)
He sits next to Alucard, helping a hand out. There's a needle in the other. ]
[He offers his arm very slowly. It's taking concentrated effort to hold it aloft, although there is no other rushing from Alucard. He trusts Trevor to take care of him now. Especially, especiallyright now.
[ His own arm isn't incredibly steady, but it's enough to hold Alucard's wrist and keep his arm still enough to find the blood vessel. Despite himself, despite knowing that one little pinprick is nothing compared to what Carmilla's dealt to him, despite knowing that it'll likely do more harm than good- despite everything, that hand slides into Alucard's and squeezes tightly as the needle goes in.
It only takes a second and then it's done, and he carefully lowers Alucard's arm down. ]
[He barely registers the needle. There's too much pain elsewhere to focus on a tiny little pin prick, all Alucard knows is that when he can lower his arm, Trevor will let him know. Everything else is a kindness, including the way Trevor's hand squeezes around his own.
There. His arm's down, but that doesn't change Alucard's position.
[ He nods, setting about cleaning and dressing the bite. It's a quick job, even with one arm half numb, and he spends more time tilting his head at the candied orange pieces the castle seems to think are important to eat after losing blood. He's never seen an orange anywhere outside of the castle, but the castle's fond of making them show up in all kinds of places.
He gets the sense that Lisa liked them, and that the castle's working on old instincts. ]
Anything else you need? H[ e's not sure how well Alucard's going to manage solid food- god knows he couldn't for a long time after he got back - but he offers one of the pieces anyway. ]
[By the time Trevor finishes dressing the bite, Alucard's body has relaxed again. He's not curled up in on himself, and one hand reaches out for Trevor to try and have him return to the fold. The warm, warm fold.
The scent of the peel is--
--Oh.]
S'for your blood sugar. You should eat the whole thing.
My blood's plenty sugary. [ He says with a shrug, but after turning over the fruit once more (it's bizarre, that there's fruit that grows already chopped. probably castle magic) he does, finally, eat it. Eats it and then does return to the warmth of the bed.
This is probably going to be how things are until Alucard recovers, isn't it? Ah well. He can't say he minds. He puts one arm over both of them, hand stroking at the small of Sypha's back while the other is in Alucard's hair, combing through it with his fingers. ]
