caught up in reading, but that requires a certain density that even Alucard
doesn't have. He takes a moment, just because Trevor's face is pretty

He takes Alucard's hand in his own, starting to lead him in that direction. He's growing a little less certain about this. He's hoped Alucard would be desperate to know what had happened, maybe that the whole time they'd been travelling he'd be excited to return to find out for himself. Instead it's just- this. [ It's important to ask. Because with Sypha, it didn't matter too much that the entire thing was unplanned and passionate and stupid. And he wants to recreate that as much as he can, but Alucard is far more delicate than her in just about every way. He has exactly three things in his life that aren't shit, he doesn't want to lose one of them over a silly game gone wrong. ]
[Alucard's hand is rough and worn against Trevor's. It's not
callouses from hard mannual labor, but just living rough for nearly half
his life. Sypha's hands are much the same way, and it makes the contrast
against Trevor's feel just that much more. Holding it though is pleasant
and cool against his own skin.
It's at that point he clocks the redness in Trevor's ears, and in response
the alchemist rubs his thumb over and over the dhampir's knuckles.]

[To reinforce the point, Alucard leans his shoulder against
Trevor's. Just enough to reinforce trust.]
[ He tries not to think about the warmth and roughness of their hands. Or- he tries not to think too deeply about it in the wrong ways. In the right ways, the way their hands scrape slightly against his skin, the way their warmth sinks into him and becomes part of him, it's perfect. ]
Maybe you need to make sure you leave me with better things to think about.
[ His shoulders sink in contentment when Alucard leans into him.
The doors in the hold are strange things. In truth, the Trantoul estate is still back in some forgotten, time-locked part of the french countryside. But since they managed to reactivate this one, it leads there. There are others, locked in ways that they havn't quite figured out yet. They don't matter. It takes them where they need to be, and it isn't long until they're at the room they share. He leads Alucard in, taking the offered hand in both of his own. ]
[Like this, it's good. Alucard still struggles with the idea of the other two well and truly taking care of him, protecting him, but these little moments where he can rest against the other and trust them to take his weight? It's a lot.]

[So they walk like that just a little more, until they reach the bedroom door.
[ ...they did a bad job of unsubtley hinting that something was going to happen, huh. Here he was with his happy little thoughts of Alucard being all hot and bothered by the fact that they were going to do something when he came back for the entire few months that they were away, but no.
He’s maybe a little put out by it. But more importantly... ]
[ It’s hard to sulk about your failure to expertly seduce your boyfriend when you’re in the middle of being kissed.
Alucard is always so soft. So careful. Sypha is all fire and half the time feels like they’re in a mouth-based wrestling match, but Alucard is gentle in a way that shouldn’t leave Trevor breathless but always does. They’re both perfect. ]
[Alucard pulls away, but only for a moment. He kisses Trevor's forehead before he withdraws entirely.]
As you wish.
[He does go over to the bed. He's not sure how to sit when he lowers himself on the bed. How does one sit sexily? He doesn't know. So he just sits, watching Trevor.]
[ The needle is a plain one, kept in a pincushion that isn’t particularly ornate, with a small vial of cleaning alcohol next to it. He still likes to think of using some beautiful, worthy tool for this purpose, but this is the sharpest one they have and causing the both of them as little pain as possible comes before prettiness.
Once he has it, he approaches the bed. He’s fidgetting as he does, and his throat moves in a nervous swallow as he steps forward and kneels on the rug a few feet away from Alucard. ]
[Alucard had still expected Trevor to use his teeth, in the end. He likes it, actually, but this way is safer and includes less threat of infection. It was Alucard who had insisted on the cleaning alcohol, and it's Alucard who keeps it full.
Trevor kneeling like this though? That is a lot to look at, and Alucard has to breath out steadily as he extends his left hand.]
[ The teeth have their uses. If he needs more than a few drops of blood, they let him be incredibly precise with how much he opens skin. For this much, though, the needle is a better tool. ]

[ Just not yet. For now he kisses the pads of each of Alucard’s fingers, then catches the ring finger between his teeth. Just the front ones, not his pointed canines. He holds it there for a few seconds before letting it go and using the needle to pierce the pad of that same finger. ]
[Alucard's other hand immediately buries itself in Trevor's hair. It's how it works when Trevor takes blood: Alucard's hand strokes Trevor's hair, keeping time and letting the alchemist breathe easy. It's perfect. And he's apparently using some new shampoo, because Trevor's hair feels softer than ever.
The first kiss gets a soft little gasp, because he expected Trevor to just get started and then ease into the rest. But no, he's starting like this, and it's breath taking.
There's only a moment's flinch when Trevor pierces his finger. When he realizes which one well--

So instead Alucard leans down and over, kissing the top of Trevor's head.]
[ The ring finger was a Sypha addition to this. She doesn't care much about details like those, but she's canny enough to know that Alucard might. AQnd the hair? A result of him dedicating the bulk of the morning to making everything about this, including himself, as perfect as it can be made. He closes his eyes, sighing in contentment at the kiss, before bowing his head to bring the finger into his mouth.
The effect is immediate. He knows how this goes, by now, his senses sharpen to the point of almost-pain-but-not-quite. Everything is brightness and loudness. Too much sensation at once. He bows his head forward, taking Alucard's fingertip into his mouth and holding it there until he adjusts and everything subsides. Something else to anchor him, like Alucard's hand in his hair.
A few seconds, and things calm. Everything is still brighter and louder and more sensation than it ought to be, but his mind adjusts. Focuses in on Alucard's touch, on the nerves of his scalp and lips and tongue. That's part of the reason for the distance, because even this much is a lot. Closer and he'd have a lot more to adjust to at once instead of just three small places anchoring him to the world. Another second, and he draws his tongue over the pad of Alucard's finger again. The blood has already stopped, but the remnants of it dance on his tongue and he makes a soft noise, muffled by the finger. An almost animal-sounding little huff of pleasure.
Things move into place. A mess of brightness and noise becomes Alucard-shaped again, with all the details sharper. Even with his eyes closed, he can map his body by the feel of his own breath bouncing off it. The tiny new scrapes that their time on the road has left on him. The sharp angles that always grow a little softer during their time at the estate only to become sharp again from hunger while they're gone, no matter how much they take with them. Muscle placed haphazardly from a messy sort of life rather than neatly and properly like Sypha's from her training.
They're beautiful, both of them, in their own ways.
He releases the finger, mostly, suckling at the tip of it for a little longer before kissing it one last time to let it go and looking up at Alucard. ]
I have what I need. [ His kisses move down to the palm, lips brushing quickly over the fleshy parts of it one at a time. ] This? This is what I want.
[Alucard has long since learned to watch Trevor from the outside when it came to feeding. The first time was a new thing he didn't understand, but since then? Since then he can read so much. He can tell when Trevor is overwhelmed and it'll be hard for him to withdraw. It's obvious when Trevor is processing, and crystal clear when he's taken enough to sharpen his senses without being overwhelmed by them.
Throughout all of it, Alucard strokes his hair. It's a comfort, like the blankets are. He takes such pleasure in having soft, warm (okay not warm in Trevor's case) things around him, never tiring of their novelty. The estate would be so easy to settle into for a lifetime, and there are days when Alucard wants that. He likes when the sharp angles of his bones are just a little bit more hidden. When he feels like he's eaten enough for a week. It's a place of refuge, and he'll never be denied access to it. That's a lot to suddenly have.
When Trevor picks his head up, Alucard's face is soft and almost maidenly. But oh. Those words.]

It is a language Alucard has become fluent in, just as he speaks a bastard mix of Ottoman, Greek, and sometimes Latin in order to survive outside of Wallachia. A language with a high entry level, but so easy to comprehend once you're immersed in it.
