[ Knock knock, Alucard. A certain Belmont is there at your door. Wanting to talk to you. ]

[cryptsleeper]

...Yes?

[Alucard sticks his head out of his room, frowning in confusion.]

[quickwhip]

[ Oh, he... answered. ]

Do you have a minute?

[cryptsleeper]

[Alucard nods, then pushes the door open just a little more so Trevor can step in.]

I do, yes. What is it?

[quickwhip]

[ Stepping in, Trevor just sort of stands there all awkward with a hand to his bandaged neck, fingers still bruised, before he looks over to the blond. ]

So... Sypha is here. Obviously. As is Hector.

[cryptsleeper]

...Yes. He's...

[Alucard pauses, moving to sit on his own bed.

The room is sparse. Just the bed, a nightstand, and a drawing desk that's covered in designs.]

A loaded matter.

[quickwhip]

He got himself drunk and I kept an eye on him.

[ Not that he cared or anything. Just... you know. Yeah. But, standing there, he comes to fold his arms against his chest. ]

He's a forgemaster. Or, was. Seems pretty upset about not being one anymore.

[cryptsleeper]

Of course he did.

[Alucard sighs, looking down at the floor.]

He knows I killed my father. Did not take the information well.

[quickwhip]

I... may have also mentioned that in some weird dream that I met him in.

[ He hadn't really thought much about it at the time since... he was sort of in a bad place at the time?? But still. Now that he thinks back to it... ]

Do you think he's going to be trouble here?

[cryptsleeper]

I genuinely do not know. I cannot get a measure of the man, and neither of us want a thing to do with the other.

[Alucard breathes out, then considers.]

His reaction was muted, but I feel as if we're missing something with him as well.

[quickwhip]

[ Hmmm ]

Sypha doesn't seem to think he's a bad person. Think she called him naïve or something.

[cryptsleeper]

He agreed to help commit genocide, Belmont.

[quickwhip]

So then we'll keep an eye on him.

[ He leans against the wall then, gaze lingering on his feet. ]

Not sure he can do much here anyways. Would probably get himself eaten by something bigger than him.

[cryptsleeper]

Let's hope he does get eaten then.

[Alucard frowns. Breathes out, knowing what he just said.]

[quickwhip]

[ Well, moving on from that cheery note... ]

I'm going to do a bond thing with Sypha. [ A beat. ] She's a witch.

[cryptsleeper]

That's probably for the better. I have no idea if I've been doing this right, and she'll understand the full of it through instinct. Of that much I'm sure.

[quickwhip]

[ He's just... going to pretend he knows what the fuck Alucard is talking about there. ]

Right.

[ A beat. ]

Thanks for telling her what was happening to me, by the way.

[ That's definitely said a little bitterly. ]

[cryptsleeper]

[He's saying he sucks at doing this Trevor.]

Were you actually going to? At any point?

[quickwhip]

I don't know but it would have been nice to have the option to.

[ Yeah he sure is STARING AT YOU, Alucard. ]

[cryptsleeper]

I'm sorry. For me at this point, it is a basic fact. I did not realize that you'd prefer to communicate the matter yourself.

[quickwhip]

[ He wants to be MAD still but gets the feeling he'd just argue with Sypha again about it and he just.. doesn't want to, to be honest. So, instead, he sighs and just curls into the wall a little, arms still folded against his chest. ]

Whatever. Just thanks.

[ But he'll leave it at that because Alucard said sorry and all. ]

I'm sure you're happy that she's here though.

[cryptsleeper]

[Alucard's relieved that no argument happens. He just falls awkward and quiet, still not meeting Trevor's eyes.]

I....yes and no.

[quickwhip]

Right, well.

[ A sigh, he pushes himself away from the wall. Standing instead. ]

You don't have to put up with me anymore since she's here, so. Don't be so sulky.

[cryptsleeper]

I'm glad she's here. But I didn't want anyone else we cared about to be forced to deal with this place.

[His shoulders slink downward just a little more. If his own misery wasn't clear, it blips through on the bond. Just for a moment.]

....Huh?

[quickwhip]

[ He turns his back to the blond, intending to leave before Alucard speaks or huhs at him. He stops. ]

Your babysitting me. Sypha's here now so you don't have to pretend to care.
