[Alucard tries not to laugh at Ursula's current state, because goodness, it is something. He's been known to rise from bed less than perfect under certain situations, but this? This is something else all together.

He offers the basket first.]

And I think you enjoyed the holiday a little too much.

[There's warmth in his voice at least.]

Well, like I said... one year anniversaries, and all. [ All three of them.

She took the offered basket, stepping aside. ]

Come on in. I'll put coffee on.

Oh, you didn't mention that part.

[Is he smirking? Of course not. There's a little bit of fond approval in Alucard's eyes though, and he steps into the house proper. With his hands free, his hat and sunglasses come off.]

And yes to coffee, please. Is there any spot where I should put my things?

Anywhere that's clean, I suppose...

[ Ursula didn't keep her living space terribly neat. And with Fang living there as well, the place certainly had a mood of controlled chaos to it. ]

Right.

[Alucard finds a little spot beside a table in the entrance way, and off his hat goes. The sunglasses go inside of it, and he looks less like a ridiculous sun-hat wearing woman at the beach and more like himself.

To the kitchen then, and most importantly, to something to eat.]

I'm almost afraid to ask, but have you eaten much yet?

I was awake enough to have some bacon Fang had prepped for me. She babysat me about as well as she could before she had to head out...

[ It wasn't much, but it was a start. ]

I have to ask, did the bacon help any?

... A little.

[ Look, it was food, Alucard, she wasn't going to complain. Plus Fang made it for her. ]

Would you like me to make more bacon? Or something else more substantial?

You're doing so much for me as it is. I'm not sure I could really ask for more.

[ Ursula sighed, rubbing at her temples a bit. Plus the whole... embarrassing string of texts thing was still hanging over her head. She wasn't sure she could handle any more potential social imbalances at the moment. ]

No, but hangovers don't fix themselves instantly and I don't think you're in a state to cook either.

[Alucard has honestly forgotten all about the texts. It is a non issue. The issue now is starting to poke at the kitchen to see what's hanging around--]

[ The fact that he was already looking for something to make for her... ]

I guess I can't really stop you, then.

[ He'd at least find some eggs. Easy enough. But it was a little troublesome, wasn't it? For him to just keep doing the same caring, tender things he did, the very things she'd admitted to being attracted to him for... ]

I mean if you're truly insistent, I will, but.

[Eggs and -- oh. Some chives. That'll do. Alucard doesn't question where the chives came from or why, he just takes them out and walks all of it over to the stove.]

But protein helps.

[ She tried to keep a stock of vegetables. At least stuff that could easily be diced up and tossed into stew, or stir-fry. She wasn't much of a cook, at all. But she'd learned, from living on her own for so long, some easy meals she could prepare.

She settles herself on a stool near the the kitchen bar, a place she normally had her morning coffee, and just... watched him get things ready. ]

[Alucard happily lives on the opposite end of living along and cooking scale. He'd be a downright culinary hipster if he understood the concept, although it is likely better for all involved that he doesn't and isn't. He'd be even more insufferable.

He moves through the kitchen with ease, finding cutting boards and pots while trying to move them with the least amount of noise possible. Then eggs and--]

Scrambled, omelette, any preferences?

Let your creative heart guide you. [ A small giggle. ]

Either way, I'm grateful.

Hmm.

[Creative, in the end, translates into omelette. It also translates into checking the fridge for cheese, which Alucard fully expects to be present. Behold, it is, and with that, the chives, and a decent pan?

Behold. Egg transformed, although the plating isn't much to look at. Just a nice, fluffy pile of egg folded into thirds placed in the center of the plate with a few extra chives sprinkled on top.]

I think that should do the trick along with the potion.

[ Chariot had no lack of cheese, to be sure. It made for an excellent looking omelette, that she was happy to indulge in. Honestly, this was her favorite sort... Alucard really had come through in the pinch. She took sips of both water and potion as she went along, letting out a sigh as she got midway through her plate. ]

I'm already feeling so much better.... Thank you, again. You're a lifesaver.

[Alucard's happy enough to just sit opposite her, having already eaten and quite content to see his work be enjoyed.]

I'll leave you the dishes though. That much seems fair.

More than, really. [ Ursula chuckled, nervously... ]

Look. About what I said. The other night, I mean.

[Alucard wasn't going to bring it up unless she did, in truth. Yet they seem to be at the point of discussing it.]

[ Another bite, a sip of her drink, and a deep breath. ]

You didn't feel... pressured, or anything, by it, did you?

I did not. [He's entirely even keeled.]

Flattered yes. Pressured? Not at all.

[ A sigh of relief. ]

I'm glad. We'd had that talk, before, about how new all of this was to you, and the last thing I wanted to do was...

Well. The important thing is we can talk about it at all, right? Without me turning into a nervous wreck.

Well, without either of us turning into wrecks.

[Alucard doesn't exactly blush but it is a very near thing that crosses Alucard's cheeks and through his expression.]

I think at any other point, I might've. So well done to us both instead.
